The rituals of little Vojtíšek´s
for alto flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano and percussion (vibraphone, 3 cymbals, 5 tbl, 3 bng, 2 tom-toms), durata 9:40 min., 2004I was inspired by my little son Vojtíšek to compose this piece of music. He is very lively boy. But, it is not an childish piece of music. Child takes everything more seriously than we, the adults. Each activity is for a child a real ritual and it is so difficult to persuade him to go to bed. There are so many activities (rituals that he must do…).
Toward the end, my composition reaches its phase, when it is based on the contrast principles: harmony of aliquat row (male principle – father) and a harmony of quart chords (female principle – mother). Our little Vojtech must be sure that we both love him very much to be able to fall asleep…
I thing that the children and their mature in the world these days, are the theme, which is perhaps topical everythere. Especially, it is because the family is considered only as complication in the career. The children in these days have a lot of entertainment which doesn´t demand much effort. But in fact, they would need much more contact with their parents.
